Dexine-28 is an iodine based disinfectant with both detergent and disinfectant properties, widely used in cleaning and disinfection of animal farms. The product is effective against a wide range of microorganisms including bacteria, viruses and fungi that causes the major diseases in farm animals. Dexine-28 is suitable for disinfecting all types of surfaces, incubators, hatchers, feed trays and dairy utensils.
The product is safe for use in the presence of animals. Dexine-28 is non-tainting at the used dilutions.
Dilute with water before use.
General disinfection (floor/walls of animal housing, cages, egg trays, incubators and drinkers):
1 L Dexine-28 per 100 - 600 litres of drinking water (0.16 - 1%).
Use a pressure washer to spray on surfaces 250 - 300 ml/m2.
Aerial disinfection (misting):
1 L Dexine-28 per 300 litres of drinking water (0.33%).
Use a knapsack sprayer. Adjust the nozzle to a misty jet.
Vehicles and equipment disinfection:
1 L Dexine-28 per 200 litres of drinking water (0.5%).
Use a pressure washer.
Cleaning and disinfection of dairy utensils and milk tank:
1 L Dexine-28 per 400 litres of drinking water (0.25%).
Sanitize the dairy utensils and milk tank surface by diluting 1 litre of Dexine-28 into 400 litres of clean water just before using.
Foot and wheel dips:
1 L Dexine-28 per 100 litres of drinking water (1%).
Prepare a fresh solution and refill when the solution becomes dirty. Replace with a fresh solution after one week.
Causes severe skin burns and eye damage.
Do not breathe dust/fumes/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
If swallowed: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting.
If on skin: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower.
If inhaled: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.
If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do – continue rinsing.
Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Keep out of reach of children.
Avoid release to the environment.
Waste must be disposed of in line with local regulations.
