Zusammensetzung
- Contains per sachet of 2.37 gram:
- Diminazene aceturate – 1.05 g.
- Phenazone – 1.31 g.
- Vitamin B6, pyridoxine HCl – 8 mg.
- Vitamin B12, cyanocobalamin – 2 mg.
- Contains per sachet of 23.7 gram:
- Diminazene aceturate – 10.5 g.
- Phenazone – 13.1 g.
- Vitamin B6, pyridoxine HCl – 80 mg.
- Vitamin B12, cyanocobalamin – 20 mg.
Beschreibung
Diminazene aceturate belongs to the group of aromatic diamidines with therapeutic activity against babesiosis, piroplasmosis and trypanosomiasis. Vitamin B6 and B12 aid to combat the anaemic effects of the disease through stimulation of red blood cell formation.
Indikationen
Treatment of babesiosis, piroplasmosis and trypanosomiasis in camels, horses, cattle, swine, sheep, goats, dogs and cats.
Gegenanzeigen
Administration to animals with known hypersensitivity to diminazene and/or phenazone.
Administration to animals with an impaired renal and/or hepatic function.
Nebenwirkungen
Hypersensitivity reactions have been reported. Salivation, sweating, tremors can occur.
Multiple therapeutic doses can produce severe nervous signs and prominent haemorrhagic and malacic lesions of the cerebellum, midbrain and thalamus in dogs.
After multiple therapeutic doses, degenerative fatty changes can occur in liver, kidneys, myocardium and muscles.
Multiple therapeutic doses can produce prominent haemorrhagic and malacic lesions of the cerebellum and the thalamus in cattle.
Dosierung
For deep intramuscular administration.General: Dissolve 2.37 g (23.7 g) of powder in 15 ml (150 ml) of sterile water before use to prepare a solution for injection, and administer at 1 ml per 20 kg body weight (i.e. 2.37 g (23.7 g) per 300 kg (3000 kg) body weight). Use only freshly prepared solutions for injections.
Wartezeiten
- For meat: 21 days.
- For milk: 4 days.
