Gastrointestinal infections caused by colistin-sensitive bacteria, like E. coli, Haemophilus spp. and Salmonella spp. in calves, sheep, goats swine and poultry.
Hypersensitivity to colistin.
Administration to animals with a seriously impaired renal function.
Administration to animals with an active microbial digestion.
Renal dysfunction, neurotoxicity and neuromuscular blockade may occur.
For oral administration.
Calves, sheep and goats:
Twice daily, 5 g per 100 kg body weight for 5 - 7 days.
Swine and poultry:
1 kg per 1000 - 2000 litres of drinking water or 500 - 1000 kg of feed for 5 - 7 days.
Note: for pre-ruminant calves, lambs and kids only.
