Indications
Treatment and control of internal and external parasites, such as roundworms, leeches, warbles and ticks in cattle, with long-term effect.
Contra indications
Administration to lactating animals.
Do not administer intravenously or intramuscularly.
Side effects
Discomfort of transitory nature has been observed in some animals following subcutaneous injection. A small number of animals showed temporary soft-tissue swelling at the injection site. When ivermectin comes in contact with soil, it readily and tightly binds to the soil and becomes inactive over time. Free ivermectin may adversely affect fish and some water born organisms on which they feed.Do not permit water runoff from feedlots to enter lakes, streams or ponds.
Do not contaminate water by direct application or the improper disposal of drug containers. Dispose of containers in an approved landfill or by incineration.
Dosage
For subcutaneous administration.
General: 1 ml per 50 kg body weight.
Do not inject more than 10 ml per injection site.
Withdrawal times
- For meat: 105 days.
Not for use in cattle producing milk for human consumption.
