Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic with bacteriostatic action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria like Campylobacter spp., Mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. and Brachyspira spp.
Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by tylosin-sensitive microorganisms like Campylobacter spp., Mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. and Treponema spp. in cattle, calves, sheep, goats and swine.
Hypersensitivity to tylosin.
Concurrent administration of penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones and cycloserine.
After intramuscular administration local reactions can occur, which disappear in a few days.
Diarrhoea, epigastric pain and skin sensitization can occur.
For intramuscular administration.
General: 1 ml per 10 - 20 kg bodyweight for 3 – 5 days.
- For meat: 10 days.
- For milk: 3 days.
